Another wintry and quietly gorgeous release from the 12k camp. These tracks were all recorded live in Tokyo, and their long-form looseness makes this a perfect late-night album. Favorite: 3. No FCCs.
1. (24:01)—Warm drones, extremely soft guitars, lots of effects, creaking, squeaking.
2. (13:14)—More energetic. The drones remind me slightly of Stars of the Lid’s And Their Refinement of the Decline. Piano, glitches, back-masked instruments. Brief, sudden inclusion of spoken Japanese.
3. *(26:38)— Soft, melancholy, misty, ghostly. Water sounds, bird-like sounds, extremely peaceful drones.
