Kevin Greenspon / Former Selves – Betrayed by the Angels / Apropos of Golden Dreams Bridgetown 2013 Beautiful split album by two ambient icons, East Bay’s Former Selves (Day of Noise 2014 performer!) and LA’s Kevin Greenspon. Greenspon’s side verges into darker, more abstract and noisy territory, but soft synth pads and gentle, slow soundscapes still make it very accessible ambient. Former Seles takes the accessibility up a notch and crafts dreamy, perfect aural narcotics. Play any/all tracks—it’s that good. RIYL Derek Rogers, Eluvium, Kevin Greenspon 1.
