CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY
Songwriter/crooner in the manner of Guy, Willie, Kris. Generally easy-to-listen-to country: a lot of ballads, a few rockers. It’s OK on the whole with a couple stand-out songs.

No FCC issues.

1 Mid-tempo. Cheery, pleasant singing. On-the-road imagery. A bit cliché. Standard electric guitar, bass, drums accompaniment. (4:23)
2 * Mid-tempo swing. Naughty fun down in Cajun country. Franglais lyrics. Add an accordion to the band. (3:57)
3 ** Fast. Jerry Lee Lewis-style rocker with honky-tonk piano. (2:43)
4 Very slow. Broken hearted. Just vox, acoustic guitar, tiny bit of piano. Dreary. (3:55)
5 * Slow. A maybe hopeful, maybe hopeless love situation. Male/female duet. (3:50)
6 ** Mid-tempo. Bar room blues. A bit of grit in his voice shows some versatility. (3:29)
7 Mid-slow. About how grandpa loved grandma. Boring and tired. (3:43)
8 * Mid-tempo. Goin’ straight at a revival meeting. Elec guitar & gospel singers. (3:40)
9 Slow. Just vox and elec guitar. A Willie-style ballad. (3:28)
10 Mid-tempo. Light hearted and lightweight. (3:55)
11 Mid-slow. Pretty but insubstantial. (5:08)
