The Ballroom Thieves are a Boston band. The insert in this CD had the subtitle "Rock Band in a Folk Suit." That pretty much sums it up. If you are like me and love Blitzen Trapper, Avett Brothers, Lumineers, Gogol Bordello...etc, then you will probably like this. I love it start to finish.

1. (3:20) Down By The River - This reminds me very much Avett Brothers and the instrumentation is almost as hard rocking as Gogol Bordello. They hit it hard to start off this EP.

2. (3:02) Droves - Strings and guitar...add in some tambourine...build in the heavy drum beat. It is a folk rock love song.

3. (3:17) Coward's Son - This is the mellow track. I've been waiting for some new material from the Lumineers...but this will do! So good. Starts mellow and builds throughout the track.

4. (3:32) Armada - This song bookends pretty well with the first track as far as hard hitting folk rock. This one is a foot stomper.
