Flatt Lonesome “Too” Label: Mountain Home Music Company Joseph Reviewed 7/9/14 Soaring sublime vocals and hot picking characterize this sophomore effort from sextet Flatt Lonesome. Lots of traditional and contemporary bluegrass to like here. 1 – (3:28) So Far* Up-tempo fiery heartbreak song, incredible vocals, wow! 2 – (3:27) Make It Through The Day* Slow, serene song of loneliness, fine. 3 – (2:31) Dangerous Dan* Great up-tempo moonshine song. 4 – (2:17) Never Let Me Go* Swing style, mid-tempo, sweet vocals, fine. 5 – (2:30) Slowly Getting You Out Of The Way* Fast bluegrass, title says it all. 6 – (3:46) I Can’t Be Bothered* Mid-tempo breakup song, really great. 7 – (3:45) He Still Hears* Slow & sweet gospel song, lovely. 8 – (3:37) It’s Probably Just Her Memory Again* A man haunted, old-timey, fine. 9 – (2:34) Letters Have No Arms* Good country crooner, nicely done. 10 – (2:30) I’m Ready Now* Fast gospel stained-glass bluegrass, excellent. 11 – (2:31) I Thought You Were Someone I Knew* Touching breakup waltz, fine. 12 – (2:47) How Long Decent cover of J.D.
