Tiny Ruins, Brightly Painted Ones: Singer-songwriter / folk. Hailing from New Zealand, Tiny Ruins is a folk trio with front woman Hollie Fullbrook. This is slow, sparse, intimate, and hypnotic folk. RIYL: Laura Gibson, Daughter, Cat Power (sort of). FCC on track 6, otherwise play any track. 1. (2:35) *Finger picking, upright, and percussion. This is their single. 2. (4:23) *Slow and pretty. Medium pace but mellow. Like the way it progresses. Trumpets. 3. (2:55) *Finger picking, upright, percussion. Pretty. Mellow. 4. (5:18) *Finger picking, “I went in search of a reasonable man.” Great song. 5. (5:13) *More trance folk, soft and mellow.
