Patrick, Hanako & The Little Picture Tiny Telephone Sessions 1 Reviewed by BravoMarco Recorded in San Francisco, this is the work of duo, Patrick (Atlanta) & Hanako (Yamanashi, Japan) Mellow, straightforward sound. Folk based with jazzy elements. Has a strong 60’s influence. Two tracks in Japanese, the other two in English. Stronger melodies with the Hanako sung songs. Indy folk that works well. Play Any: In particular 2 No detectable FCC’s 1) Strange (2.59) Slow, pleasant enough acoustic & piano track – Male vocals with Hanako backing. 2) Dream (2.43) Superior 60’s style psychedelic dream. Slow paced with extra punch. Electric guitars complimenting so well with the gutsy voice of Hanako. Sung in Japanese. Standout track. 3) Seattle Song (3.04) Neo folk-ish with jazzy piano flourishes. Prefer the music to the vocals, still a nice sound. 4) Aital (3.41) Not as strong at “Dream” – Acoustic guitar & vocals. Hanako on vocal duty. | ||
