Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend

Late 70’s (1979) SF noise/post punk rock, from a 30+ year old tape “dug out of a closet”, literally, and sent to KZSU. “Punk” if you consider Flipper punk. Big bashout rock is closer (since punk at the time was Dead Boys and Black Flag, Middle Class). Drinking from the same well as local contemporaries Flipper and Chrome, I wouldn't be surprised if they were incestuous (curious who these guys were). Sounds recorded live, if not a show then in a studio/living room/practice space. Very low fi. Totally kick ass that they sent us this.

1) (2:19) upbeat w/ dirgey bass and dissonant noise guitar leading the way, instrumental
2) (2:13) upbeat jamming with indecipherable vocals, punky, punkish
3) (1:57) big wall of jamming
4) (3:36) slower rock, not be mistaken with the Bowie song of the same name
5) (3:56) surfy back beat rock, funny lyrics
