Undead In Istanbul

DJ performing a live set, with two bonus tracks. A Croatian version of Fatboy Slim – Certainly sounds to be influenced by the English supremo. The beats are pumped out & the words sound pretty good alongside them. Prefer when the DJ doesn’t speak in English. Must have been recorded straight from the mixer, as there is no crowd reaction.

Zdena-Dikson – (00.48) Version of Bo Diddley mixed with a nice beat –
Razgovor Z Bogum (4.13) Very Fatboy Slim – Has the beat & half sung / speech.
U Lice Si Mi Pljunula (6.35) Old school beats with EPMD getting a look in.
Katerina (10.00) Repetitive beats – Nice & bouncy.
Batman (12.28) Funky bass with English words.
*Wishful Thinking (14.56) Faster faster…Euro hand banging pop…(fuckin’)
Music Lover (17.43) Chilled out with reggae undertones – Happy Monday’s-ish
Latujuci DJ Zdena (20.07) Military beats with a more ominous feel. Nice.
Kaje, Staje, Caje (23.31) Mellow dance track, with plenty of samples.
Primitivo (25.44) Staying close to the original – Brave track to cover. It works.
Istanbul (27.49) “Istanbul is not the problem – Brooklyn is problem” Good use of the hook line.
2) The Most Beautiful Girl Of Istanbul-Kidagain (1:24) Slower ode, lyrics in English over pleasant enough music.
3) The Most Beautiful Girl Of Istanbul-Babilonci (3:56) Stronger beats with echo effects. Vocals in English, doesn’t quite go with the tune (for me) Similar in many ways to Big Audio Dynamite.
