MAINSTREAM JAZZ COMBO
Todd Bishop is the drummer and leader here, but the star of the show is Richard Cole playing an Eric Dolphy-esque set of woodwinds (three saxes, bass clarinet, and flute). Keyboards & bass complete the lineup. Pieces are written by all four bandmates.

All instrumentals. No FCC issues

1 * Mid-fast but relaxed. Song-like melody played by tenor sax in easy, legato lines. Piano solo in middle. Bass & drums keep it steady. (6:21)
2 Mid-slow. Sax lead is improvisational & punctuated. Laid back piece. (5:37)
3 * Mid-fast. Alternating sax & piano melodies. Slight samba beat. Pleasant. (7:05)
4 * Mid-fast. Strong Gato Barbieri-like sax. Playful elec piano. South American beat. (4:49)
5 Mid-slow & easy going. Melodies on bass clarinet, soprano sax, piano & bass. (6:03)
6 ** Mid-tempo. Bass clarinet, soprano sax & piano take turns on disjoint, broken melody. Bass & drums keep fractured parts glued together. Eerie & strange but intriguing. (5:11)
7 ** Slow. Strange again & perhaps better than 6. Bass clarinet plays melody accompanied by unsnared drums with World-music sound. Joyous piano takes over in second half. (6:38)
8 * Surprise soul-tinged thing with elec piano, bari sax, and flute. Groovy & fun. (5:14)
