Hailing from California, Kyng delivers a 45-minute ‘commercially’ inclined Stoner Rock attack that is actually pretty good. Don’t mistake this for anything sounding like Stoner/Sludge acts like Eyehategod, Bongzilla, High on Fire, the band is more along the lines of The New Black, Kyuss and more ‘regular radio’ friendly Monster Magnet an such. Quite decent and catchy at times, so feel free to chill to their music.

NO FCC’s

1. (04:30). Energetic opener with soaring vocals and powerful guitrars. (4 out of 5)
2. (03:58). Fast and melodic piece with a brilliant last few minutes. (4.5 out of 5).
3. (03:39). Hard-rocking experience with dominating Heavy Metal-esque guitars. (4 out of 5)
4. (04:57). Interesting Proggy/Psychedelic influences thrown into the mix ( 4.5 out of 5)
5. (03:05). Extremely commercial opening transforms into some cool riffs. (3 out of 5)
6. (03:34). Interesting pace, but quite traditional. (2.5 out of 5)
7. (04:58). Stoner version of Pantera… really, the more I listen the more it gives me that “The Great Southern Trendkill” vibe but with very different vocals. (3.5 out of 5)
8. (04:07). Has a Karma to Burn edge in terms of music. (4 out of 5)
9. (04:10). Nicely developing song, leads to some nice Heavy Metal-esque closing. (3.5 out of 5)
10. (04:26). Heavy, catchy, atmospheric elements, cool solos… nearly the prefect song – and a great title! (4 out of 5)
11. (04:08). Very different and dramatic closing for this track. Not quite our cup of tea… the acoustic guitars/campfire vibe really killed it for me after such a good album. (1 out of 5).
