Album Review

Reviewed 2014-10-01
Debut album from Wildcat! Wildcat! LA natives, big indie electro pop sound. RIYL: Passion Pit, Alt-J, Two Door Cinema Club, Local Natives.

FCC Warnings: Track 5 Shit, Track 10 Shit?

Recommended Tracks: 1, 4, 7, 8

1. (3:45) Tower // W.O.H.L. - Basically a mellow Passion Pit song, killer melody, synthy, great build.
2. (3:33) Garden Grays - Mid-tempo, some oohing and ahhing at the beginning. Lots of falsetto and a good electronic drum beat to bob your head to. This is actually one of my favorites.
3. (3:43) Up & Beyond - Starts slow, builds into another indie pop anthem.
4. (3:25) Hero - This is the single. People love it, it is god damn catchy, gotta hand it to them.
5. FCC SHIT (3:10) End Of The World Everyday - Love this track, so bummed it has an FCC.
6. (3:53) Holloway (Hey Love) - Echoey vocals and dramatic drums.
7. (3:14) Circuit Breaker - Super electronic sound, mid tempo, super super catchy.
8. (6:31) Nothing Below - Less electronically driven, reminds me a bit of Local Natives
9. (3:11) Sentimental - Chimes, and keyboards, and xylophones, and more falsetto.
10. FCC SHIT? (5:37) Marfa - Uptempo, very reminiscent of Two Door Cinema Club.
