“Plunderphonics” (noun) – music made entirely from the manipulation of prerecorded samples. I don’t even know how to process this album. In one word, this is noise, but way too bizarre to pigeonhole. It sounds as if he took every sound you have ever heard and ever will hear, put them through endless distortion, delay, and collaged it all together to shatter your very concept of reality. Is there ultimately any difference between mechanical and organic (metaphysically, not chemically)? Are these anguished screams coming from human throats or demolition trucks? DJs should expect (and disregard) complaints from insomniac listeners in any time zone.

File under: early Merzbow, William S. Burroughs, Dr. Josef Mengele

1. (21:21) slow hums, whirring noises, clanging, how am I even supposed to describe this?
2. (24:23) remember that dream where you were cooking pasta on the Borg spaceship, and Capt. Picard turned into a giant shark that ate everyone in sight? neither do I, but that's what this sounds like.
