Joy Division meets Krautrock in David Bowies makeup closet. Kick ass accessible rock, nods to dark 80’s New Wave but with cool psyche rock sentiments and a certain glammy flare. Sexy desperate female vocals that totally ring of Ana Calvi. PJ Harvey comes to mind too. Bass heavy songs, with nice fuzz. Just total hip shaking head nodding fun juxtaposed with dark eyeliner moping. Perfect pop in many ways. Live 105 would play this instead if this world had a lick of sense, wasn’t upside down and stupid. Fans of Ultravox, New Order, Loop, Mazzy Star, early Stereolab, aforementioned bands. All songs are great.

1) (5:00) hit quality, groovy driving feel with cool atmospherics but epic bridges and choruses
2) (3:57) chill tribal beginning like dark Ana Calvi, but launches into big epic tone, then back and forth
3) (4:00) has an almost Ultravox soaring, driving tone, nice
4) (3:33) cool driving fuzz bass, nice noises
5) (3:47) a Loop quality in the guitar hook, riff, slower meander with Ana Calvi drama
6) (4:24) driving, very New Wave flavored with the high hat-tom tom beat, lovely
7) (5:03) synth fronted, replaces bass, gives this an even more New Wave flavor or Stereolab, off time beats keep it from being “dancey”
8) (4:41) strong chorused bass and new wave beat gives very early New Order tone
9) (4:12) big soaring, tribal, fuzzy, echoey vocs
10) (4:43) starts quiet and atmospheric/noisey but quickly gets big slow loud
