Lazarus

Recorded in 1973 this record was never released until now. Very classic late 60’s soft pyche folk a la Donovan or mellow Syd Barrett, but guitars betray jams that blow out the speakers. Male vocals somewhat dated sounding songs still sound fresh and killer in light of the latest craze in this genre. Krautrock, German folk, trippy, all come to mind. One sheet: “All English vocals, amazing fuzz guitar, Zappa-style arrangements, great vocals, tons of effects and tight drum sounds. Do not expect a naïve Krautrock style – this is pure underground with a good dose of psychedelia”. Great stuff.

6) (3:57) upbeat, could be 1982 psyche revival, Dream Syndicate, awesome searing guitar, ends cold
7) (4:00) very 60’s feeling, flowers and sunshine, upbeat eastern minor
8) (2:56) bluesy acoustic guit and harmonica
9) (4:05) swaggery rockin, kinda funny
10) (3:53) rockin parts only make this sound more dated in a really good way with manual hardpanning and cheesy studio effects
