Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2014-11-26
Here's your next favorite psyche garage wash out band. Soaring weird effects, some synths but mostly fuzzed out guitars bass drums. Vocals are fuzzed and loud but down in mix like Gnod. Great stuff from Captcha records. RIYL Thee Oh Sees, Exocomet, Carlton Melton, Bardo Pond, and especially Gnod.

1)* (3:59) dynamite driving rockin garage noise psyche with doomy middle/breakdown
2) (4:36) big soaring effects, acid drenched psyche, more mid paced
3)* (9:18) begins with cool riff then launches into spacey trippy upbeat cool jam, very Gnod
4) (2:57) upbeat electro synth, more like Kraftwerk on acid
5) (3:24) quiet intro then launches into driving rocker with 80's sounding chorused guitar
6)* (2:40 "Adolph Hipster" a song about hipsters (!), this has a surfy backbeat to it
7) (3:17) upbeat krautrocky, smooth and cool (was this on the recent sampler?)
8)* (3:29) cool rhythm, more textured, goddamn this band kicks ass
9) (3:07) head nodding more of a pounding beat, rockin
