Rrest is the first vinyl release for Olympia, Washington-based L.A. Lungs. The duo, Afterthought Lung and Leeward Lung, employs several instruments such as guitar, violin, Roland Juno 60 keyboard, and other objects like toys to construct their instrumental experimental recordings. Nature and the memory of this experience is at the core of what L.A. Lungs are trying to emulate in Rrest. Empty spaces filled with dusky condensation.

RIYL: Garek Jon Druss, Total Life, Dull Knife, Deep Magic, and, Bacteria Cult.

Recommended Tracks: 1 & 2

Side A
1. (18:09) **Untitled I – Heavily structured around synthesizer sounds and effects, layers construct a bulk of noise that disappears half way through the track allowing silence then everything turns into a recording of several melodious power plants working at full capacity.

Side B
2. (19:37) *Untitled ll – Slow ambient piece that starts with sporadic sounds that could be animal, especially aquatic, noises navigating in fragments, synthesizer created parts digitally enhanced with no other purpose that just cross a stretch of pre-recorded time and finally some guitar versus keyboard tension to culminate the track.
