Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2015-02-10
From Britain: Dueling sax heavy prog fusion jazz rock with killer organ in places, great drumming. Fans of great sax players, stuff like Soft Machine may like. Songs all hover in the 7 minute range and are multifaceted, go thru changes, always interesting. Subtle tape, looper effects here there. Pretty awesome.

1) (5:29) soaring strange synth juxtaposed with looping sax and tribal drums, good rockin parts too
2) (7:06) doomy at first then gets rockin urgent, lotsa sax, goes thru a few moods
3) (6:52) quiet somber piano and sax begins, picks up into a complex jam
4)* (5:30) upbeat intro then kicks into an urgent jam with cool dark organ tones and solo
5) (7:42) quiet start to a vague minor rock progression
6) (5:51) upbeat then gets a little minor
7)* (8:31) fast smokin prog feel esp in drums bass and synth, slow breakdown, trippy etc
8) (3:09) song like more than others, briefer too, melodic
9)* (4:56) kind of a stripped down middle, less horn dominant, great
10) (7:39) urgent start, very slow quiet breakdown
11)* (8:57) slower darker, doomy baseline, cool
