Genre: dance, brazil, drums drums drums, thank-god-music-like-this-exists
Brazilian techno drum jams from this Italian duo. Even if you aren’t normally into dance or electronic music give this record a try. The off-the-walls percussion gives this record an unhinged, human feel. If I could just play track 2 on repeat for my whole show I would. Time to air drum until your forearms fall off.
Others: Man Forever + So Percussion
Favorites: 1+2, 4, 7, 6. FCC: None.
1. (1:00) Latin groove pure percussion let’s get fucking started play with track 2 awwya
2. (6:18) ****** Deep 4/4 bass pulse and then all kinds of crazy beautiful drums over it. This thing is just such a groooove. Crazy howls come in just to add to the mayhem.
3. (5:41) Melodic metallic beat. More subdued track. Adds some cool little fills.
4. (3:08) **** BAH BAH BAH BABA! AHHHHHH! DRUMS!
5. (3:55) Electronic feel. Boingy textures. Really awesome how they interchange between layers and take little detours throughout the track. Sweet samples.
6. (3:43) *** More insanity. Most vocal-driven track on the record. I’m not exactly sure what language though…great track.
7. (10:54) *** Awesome dub explorations…gradually builds…then shift to samples + ambient tension…then WHAM we’re dancing again. Those coy bastards.
