Pepe Deluxe styled cool turntable mash ups by local guy (recent WNL guest) mixes a variety of disparate sources (many unknown to me but probably familiar to most). Pretty wide range of styles, sources, from soul to metal to atmospheric dreaminess. I love what he does with Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” (track 3).
1)* (5:26) slow quiet fade-in, soulful singing, then spoken spooky thing whereupon a downtempo dark beat arises, nice
2) (3:53) old school dubby reggae thing
