One of the best bands to leave SF for LA, Terry Malts continue their winning streak of noisy, sugary punk. Brighter and less acerbic than their previous album, Nobody Knows This Is Nowhere, each song is a nugget of perfect noise pop. Oh, and two of the three members used to be KZSU DJs! Cool, right? All four tracks are very good. No FCCs detected.
A1. (1:40)—Fast. Major key, upbeat, straightforward, poppy.
A2. (2:01)—Medium-fast, less aggressively noisy (though still noisy). Leaning toward shoegaze pop a bit. Nice harmonies.
B1. (2:55)—Fast. Darker, heavier. Really cool chiming guitar track.
B2. (1:29)—Mid-tempo. Chills cover. Expansive, with catchy group vocals.
