Brett Johnson: The Bounce is Back Classic Music Company

Brett Johnson's latest release on Classic is very interesting - it promises a lot of bounce but delivers only on the first two tracks, "Falling" and "Breathe". (#2) "Breathe" is a solid club banger on its own accord, with slammin' beats & cool effects. "Falling" (#1) is a good funky house track w/ some R&B vox by Mikey V. But its remix isn't that interesting, and the final track "Magic Wand" didn't really grab me. So I'd give #1 and #2 a try!

1. "Falling" (7:22): Funky house, deep bassline, R&B vocals by Mikey V throwing down some lyrics about "falling". Neat little effects looped throughout.
2. "Breathe" (4:51): Chunky and bouncy beats, with tons of weird trippy/blippy effects. A bit of spoken word about "breathing in… breathing out…". Highly enjoyable dancey goodness.
3. "Falling" (thatmanmonkz Remix) (3:16): Kind of an odd remix of the original "Falling" - it turns the original into an electro-pop track.
4. "Magic Wand" (Edit) (8:01): A long 8-minute track featuring all sorts of weird and wacky electronic effects, shimmering tones, swirly synths, all looped over some dry crispy beats.
