AVANT GARDE
Eli Wallace is the composer and leads an ensemble of piano, electric guitar and drums. The range of styles includes avant-garde jazz, near classical, and outright experimental. Some tracks seem improvised (1, 4, 6); some are certainly composed, concrete music (3, 5).

All instrumental. No FCC issues.

1 * Mid-tempo to fast. Furious, simultaneous, free improve by all three players. Loud, pounding piano; jazz-rock fusion guitar; hard, fast drumming. (7:48)
2 Slow 1st half. Introspective. Mainly piano led. Fast 2nd half: near pandemonium. (7:20)
3 Mid-tempo. Short scattered bursts of music. Challenging. (11:23)
4 ** Slow to fast. The most jazz-like track: this gets strange & wild, but hangs together. Piano & guitar each get extended improvisations. Drums accompany nicely. (7:14)
5 Fast. Drummer solos to start & remains prominent throughout. Piano & guitar interweave playful runs. Gets quite noisy & free in the middle. (7:16)
6 Very slow. Crazy, free piano, plus lots of noises. The most Experimental. (6:23)
