Swedish Indie Pop 5 piece out of Stockholm. This kids started playing together in high school and this is their second record, it is right in my favorite "sunshine indie pop" bucket, I love the album cover to cover. Play this loud in your car all summer. RIYL: MGMT, Tanlines, Elli Goulding...
FCC CLEAN!
Recommended Tracks: 1, 2, 4, 7, 10, 11
1. (3:50) Weekends - Indie pop summer anthem, upbeat and catchy.
2. (3:34) New York - Quirky repetitive sound makes this song reminiscent of Vampire weekend to me, whatever it is, this is another great one.
3. (3:42) We Are Skeletons - Better version of Passion Pit, synth pop, melodic, a little funky (but that is always a stretch in indie pop).
4. (3:06) Come Back to Me (feat. Tove Lo) - Love song with Tove Lo guest vocals, more of the same awesomeness.
5. (2:51) You Build Your House Out of Cards - A little bit more mellow, reminds me a little of FUN.
6. (3:16) Rocketman - Harmonies, another anthemic tune, really cool guitar part, more of the same.
7. (3:31) Robot Love - I really like this one, not just because it has a great title and a robot harmony, but it is cleverest lyric-wise and I love the melody and instrumentation.
8. (3:36) Treasure - Mid tempo, another mellow one, but super pretty and another great melody.
9. (3:39) Sadness Disease - Uptempo, more Chromeo-esq.
10. (3:14) It’s Hard to Hate Someone You Love - Love this one, less electronic take over, more straightforward alt-pop song.
11. (3:12) Never Gonna See You Again - This one is awesome too, slow tempo, more rock and roll, think early MGMT.
