Just superb. FCC: Track 4, “shit” 1 – (2:53) Django and Jimmie* Fine & reflective tribute, mid-tempo. 2 – (2:57) It’s All Going To Pot* Rollicking mid-up shuffle w/Jamey Johnson on vocals. 3 – (3:46) Unfair Weather Friend* Slower tribute to friendship, really nice. 4 – (3:27) Missing Ol’ Johnny Cash* Funny song by Merle, FCC violation (“shit”). 5 – (3:35) Live This Long* Another slow nostalgic look back, fine. 6 – (3:02) Alice In Hulaland* Lilting Hawaiian rhapsody, nicely done. 7 – (4:11) Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right Good, mid-up cover of the Dylan song. 8 – (3:37) Family Bible Decent country gospel, slow-mid tempo. 9 – (3:56) It’s Only Money* Fine mid-up breakup shuffle, great! 10 – (2:51) Swinging Doors* Awesome honky-tonk, fave track on album, by Merle. 11 – (3:19) Where Dreams Come To Die* Fine elegiac song, pretty, slow. 12 – (3:24) Somewhere Between* Slow ¾ time weeper, very nice. 13 – (2:50) Driving The Herd* Really fine mid-up country shuffle. 14 – (2:35) The Only Man Wilder Than Me Decent waltz, title says it all. | ||
