– General Description: Following in the tradition of George Winston and his relaxing piano music with repetitive, slumber inducing melodic lines – Heidi Breyer's work fits right in. These are more meditations rather then compositions per se. Very easy on the ears. The additional sparse orchestration of the same piano solos on Disc 2 mostly consists of long, held tones and adds a welcome warmth and depth. The vocals are also all instrumental in quality (no lyrics, just "oo's" and "ah's"). All tracks are a good choice for quieter shows in the later evening or early morning or even used as sound beds.
– FCC Compliant: YES
1. (4:26) All the Good Things (Solo) - moderate; quiet piece with arpeggiating bass acting as waves; Disc 2 has more warmth
2. (2:39) Small Cafe (Solo) - moderate; ornamental motive with quick scale runs over relaxed bass; Disc 2 has more warmth
3. (2:57) 1960 (Solo) - moderate; delicate wandering around the keyboard; Disc 2 the added French Horn is gorgeous, very cinematic
4. (3:38) First Impressions (Solo) - moderate: a questioning quality followed by a faster and richer dialog between soprano and bass
5. ***(3:15) Old Photograph (Solo) - moderate to quick waltz with descending bass, abrupt ending; Disc 2 is even better
6. (5:35) Touchstone (Solo) - flowing; arpeggiating soprano theme with careful bass notes accentuated, a bit ponderous
7. (3:25) Letters from Far Away (Solo) - moderate; minor key, sounds Russian
8. (4:33) Welton (Solo) - up-tempo; fast arpeggiations as motive with call and response
9. **(5:02) Scarborough Fair (Solo) - quiet; throbbing then walking bass with variations thought out
10. **(3:43) No Man Is an Island (Solo) - delicate opening, a tone poem
11. ***(3:47) Starry Pond (Solo) - slow moving and restful
