With 8 full records and this (their 4th) EP, Mates of State have a huge discography of music...and I have never really gotten into it. I think this EP isn't going to make me into a fan, but that first song is an undeniable summer anthem. Anyway, if you like Mates of State, YAY NEW MATES OF STATE!! If you don't, the first song is money so you should play it all summer long.

1. (3:25) Staring Contest - This is so fucking awesome. Summer jam. I dare you not to love this song, killer melody, killer percussion, yeah this is addictive.
2. (4:43) Beautiful Kids - Slower and more harmonies, almost call and response, not as great as the first one but still fun.
3. (2:39) I Want To Run - This one is a little obnoxious…
4. (3:30) Gonna Get It - I also don’t like this one…
5. (3:07) Sides of Boxes - And this one is whiney and boring, you should really only play the first two tracks.
