This is the third record from the Mynabirds, now based in Omaha, Nebraska. First that I have listened to, but it is right up my alley. It is mellow, beautiful, and melodic indie/alt pop. The tracks are all beautifully composed and prime listening material for a day on the beach, or a long long drive, or a long long run. Truly enjoyable start to finish. 1. (4:09) All My Heart - Downtempo, synthy, really reminds me of YYYs, so super awesome, I was hooked.
2. (3:00) Believer - Ever so slightly faster paced, mellow electric pop.
3. (4:20) Semantics - Uptempo, happier, easy listening.
4. (3:52) Say Something - Love this one, more of the same, but has a super cool sound and lots of layers and different instrumentation.
5. (4:57) Orion - More of the same, not my very favorite but not bad either.
6. (3:46) Velveteen - Kind of boring.
7. (3:54) Shake Your Head Yes - LOVE THIS ONE!! Synth, simple, still mellow, adorable.
8. (3:12) Wildfire - This one sounds a little like FEIST, and more like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, another awesome track.
9. (5:42) Omaha - This may be my favorite,
10. (3:18) One Foot - Love this one, cliche in content, but an undeniably lovely song.
11. (5:25) Hanged Man - Urgent sounding, another killer melody and beautiful layers, harmonies and falsettos.
12. (5:19) Last Time - Spacey vocals, stumbling instrumentation, organ, drum machine, super cool ending.
