From Ireland & in time for Halloween. Field recordings & effects. Bare bone sounds, perfect for KZSU at any time of the day / night. Haunting & passionate. Lo fi experimental folk – Track 2 is altogether more grizzerly, with a psych quality. Another winner from Eiderdown Records.
Like: 1)Deletist, Nux Vomica & 2)Bardo Pond / Vapour Theories
All good – Definitely worth playing in part or complete.
No FCC’s (Instrumentals)
1) The Uncertain Shuffle / A Sweeping Minion And A Man Made Goat / A Road Till Now (14.36) Slow atmospheric opener with various chain sounds adding to the merriment. Bleak. Upbeat glockenspiel playing lead us onwards. (06.30) Lovely melody in the background as a wardrobe is being lugged across a room & banged to bits. (11.00) Background voices / bells – Slow & deliberate.
2) First Three, Then Seven / Stoned, Teenage, Listening To Tangerine Dream (part 2) / The Quivering (15.01) More of a psychedelic sound, measured & restrained at first then gaining momentum. Builds to be a pounding boneshaker. Tip Top (10.20) Quieter percussion – reflective (13.06) More reflection to conclude.
