Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2015-10-20
Elements of stoner doom psyche and atmospherics combine for a big loud heavy layered blissful balm of Marshall stacks, Ampeg and Ludwigs. Buried treated female vocals, subtle, perfect. Most songs adhere to a perfect pace to gently nod your heavy head and many break down slower to really let it all sink in. Pick any. Great stuff!!

1) (8:11) nice groove, heavy rocker
2) (9:11) a bit more straight rockin, nice
3) (5:39) later Swans come to mind w acoustic guitar intro but quickly turns to the heavy plod rock again
4) (5:36) another nice beautiful plod
5)* (4:46) full acoustic guitar, her vocals are clear and lovely
6)* (5:29) begins slow down tuned bass, total slow crushing doom goes "double time" (read mid paced) when vocs appear
7) (14:26) long epic slow drama, like rest, beautiful
8)* (14:19) begins atmospheric then a big epic lush heavy trippy head nodding plod
9) (3:32) another guitar ballad by the woman, very dark, simple arpeggio with subtle dark tone in background, killer way to end a perfect cd
