II – Fuzz (In the Red)
Shay Z
California’s prolific, multi-instrumentalist Ty Segall brings drumming and vocals to back guitarist Charles Moothart and bassist Chad Ubovich in Fuzz’s new album II. II continues Fuzz’s emphasis on paranoid vocals over heavy, fuzzy (hence the name) guitars. Cohesive garage/classic rock style throughout with some extended jams allowing for some wild solos. Some interesting string sections on a few songs, but mostly typical lead, bass, vocals, drum arrangement reminiscent of your dad’s favorite rock groups.
