Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend

Old school heavy industrial. If someone told me these were lost tapes remixed of Skinny Puppy from 1985 I'd believe them. Though SP got pretty stinky later (running with the dance craze that they inadvertently created by spawning the likes of NIN) this distills the finery that was their foundation: heavy distorted electronic drums, "evil" distorted vocals, searing guitars, great heavy beats, some sax thrown in even, and noise glorious noise. Dark stuff. From Neurot Records.

1)* (6:20) heavy thunderous beat, very old school industrial skinny puppy
2) (4:37) heavy mid-slow angry vocs ends with gunshots
3) (5:24) industrial near-dancy, takes me back to the end of the Reagan years 4) (3:27) slow and evil
5) (2:43) strange w acoustic guitar and horns
6)* (2:53) big solid rock feel 7) (8:03) big epic, mid, looping feel somehow, cool
8) (4:08) "I was never good at meth" nice noise with disturbing voice over, yeah
9)* (7:22) lovely creepy looped noise gives way to
dark heavy pounding
