Telepathic Juan calls this "90's shoegazer rock !Good!" I agree. :)
FCC on 10 according to band
Fave tracks: 7, 4, 3, 1, 11.
**1. Guy singer, heavy guitar atmospheric reverb haze, ends on a minor.
2. Slower than first, plodding mid-tempo, pensive with entropy, a bit grungier vocal-style.
**3. Female singer, slower pretty & dissonant ala Sonic Youth. Builds to droney wall of sound, goes places, then fades out soft and inconclusive.
***4. Surfy guitars pluck their way through the rocks, soft male vocals with harmonizing, turns a bit more real and edgy.
5. Heavier, driving, lots of swells, more sing-y (whiney) male vocals, builds to a whirl of sound. Cool.
*6. Lullaby style with droney Ride-like guitars. Male singing, cool vocal style progression, musically surfs out.
***7. Musically surfs in, male vocals kick in at 1:20 and goes places. A toe tapping, sweet ride. (feats Nirvana classic chord progressions mid song) and then surf the barrel home.
8. More 90's kicking. (Ala' Nirvana-ish) sudden end.
9. A classic shoegazer intro, vocals at 0:49 a bit depressive lyrical themes over mid-tempo song, drifting harmonies stray but then are cut.
FCC *10. More punchy, upbeat, driving, most "Fun" on the album, breakaway into a smokey core. Interesting. Blends right into 11.
**11. Mid-tempo drifting, billowing, rising, haunted, minimal vocals.
