Indian-fusion by Tom Teasley, Peabody Conservatory-trained musician. A sonic reimagining of the “Mahabharata”, as portrayed by Indian playwright Girish Karnad in his play, “The Fire and the Rain.” Uses a variety of acoustic and electronic instruments to create sonic tapestries; very light and airy with springy rhythms

No FCC's; play any track; they're all good

-Om Tat Sat--4:44 – has a pleasing bandoneon-like/dombek sound, nice melody, vocals in background

-Whispers in the Wind –5:32 – more traditional tabla-sound with vocal percussion and vibratone-like sound

- Breath of Smoke -3:41- vocal percussion and bamboo flute create feeling of breath

-Fire Dance – 3:42 – Uptempo doumbek solo leads the way; all percussion

-Indra and Arvasu – 3:10-- more traditional Indian sound with quarter tones

-Mask of Vritra – 3:49- Irish Bodhran adds interesting timbre, vocal percussive whispers; mostly percussive

-Silver Rain – 3:34 – synth drone with glockenspiel and cymbals; definitely drop-like

—Sacrifice – 4:40 – hypnotic rhythm, vocal percussion

-Dance for Arvasu –4:41- starts slow with drone and bandeon-like melody; dombeks kick in and melody becomes lively, playful, bouncy

-Sketches of India –3:27 – more Asian-sounding with bamboo flute; voices in background

-Namaste –3:24 – slower, meditative; more Indian-sounding

—Fists of Karna –3:00- percussion in foreground with drone behind
