Students of Decay
Distorted synths, ambient guitar, lush koto, soft electronics, complicated very multi-instrumental modern classical drones. Beautiful. RIYL Maxwell August Croy & Sean McCann
**1. (6:58) Distorted synth/guitar? notes shimmer through, steady bass, synth squiggling and electronics (but not harsh!) cacophony
2. (2:35) Plucked/picked koto, slightly disjunct electronics provide bass beat
**3. (5:13) Deep dark bass, scratchy fuzz, very dark ambient turns into lovely drone wash with soft electronic squiggles
*4. (5:03) Drone with lethargic piano beat, fuzzed out synths
**5. (2:53) Fuzzy static with gentle chiming beeps, electronics quiet noises, shimmering koto
****6. (8:57) Quiet intro with noises, slowly warms up, gets all sparkly and zoomy, lots of upwards noises, “Mendocino Nature Rave” beautiful cacophonous strings (koto?)
**7. (2:29) Bass drum and distorted synth/guitar bouncing around a “Hall of Mirrors”,
***8. (7:27) Resonating strings and bass weave in loops
**9. (3:04) Faint pitter patter beat, fast waves, ambient washes, koto/guitar
***10. (9:31) Soft quiet calming tones of ambient drones, waves of soft fuzz, big build
***11. (6:16). Slightly distorted swirls, beautiful bowed koto, quiet white noise explosions
