Compilation of live and unreleased material from epic noise/rock/avante band 1997-2000 who went on to become The Psychic Paramount (yes, check them out too). A lot of this is free-jazz styled jamming, others veers into the total psyche rock realm. Organ, guitar bass drum, experimental sax (echoplex etc). Rightous stuff, we are lucky to have gotten this promo for a 3X 12" vinyl release. Awesome, epic, righteous, beautiful. 1)* (23:40) fades in big epic organ driven jam, deep purple meets can, midway devolves into a slower thing, with 4 min remaining it stops, a simple high tone takes over w some subtle noise, fades out slowly w strange noises 2) (9:49) fades in creepy trippy electronics and organic noise collage, piano, someone eating chips out of a bag, wtf? 3) (1:25) sax appears, drums, piano, minimal noise improv 4) (7:05) tribal marching band drumming with treatments, sax bursts, but mostly all drums 5)* (4:52) tribal again but w more textures, noisy 6) (2:13) big dissonant bass, cool drums and mindful sax, noisy, ends cold 7) (1:43) killer noise collage 8) (7:24) band jam, clean, prog Jazz feel in guitar, feels like excerpts strung together 9) (0:48) strange sun ra feel 10) (2:44) plodding minimal w skronking sax, sun ra comes to mind again 11) (0:58) snippet of cool trippy jam 12) (6:57) jamming intense w drums bass sax, crazed shit, reminds me of Psychic Paramount 13) (9:50) picks up where previous left off 14) (1:44) live in Slovenia, mellow trippy thing 15)* (2:23) rockin guitar, drivin 16) (9:26) big assed jamming, sax, kick ass 17) (9:27) big epic jam 18) (5:01) fast urgent skronky with sax but chills into cool rockin jam 19) (5:47) veeerrrry quiet slow fade in from silence, crazed free-jam, grows very quiet and sparse | ||
