From brooklyn, somewhat chill wave, dream pop, 80s inspired. FCC Tracks: 1. Recommended Tracks: 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10
1. Personal Best (4:19) FCC at 1:42 "bullshit", generic dream pop jam
2. No One Wants It to Happen to You (3:56) dreamy, upbeat, dancey, groovy bass
*3. Boys Life (5:02) mellow but soon gets very dance pop, piano chords, catchy synth beats, some lovely ambient sounds mixed in
**4. The Closer I Look (5:02) tambourine, late 80s bass, guitar sounds a bit like Melted Toys, dreamy ambient + sounds from nature fade out
5. Big Ideas, Pt. II (3:43) 80s prom, a bit reminiscent of New Order
* 6. Back at Belle's (3:37) dream pop jam, romantic vibes, playful synths
7. Between Leos (4:53) also a bit 80s prom, mellow, gets a bit more ecstatic towards the end
** 8. Checkpoints (4:16) catchy intro, groovy bass, early 80s the cure but more pop
* 9. Smoke Around the Bend (4:02) dark and ominous synths + guitars
*** 10. XX Century (5:12) so terribly lovely. slow and dreamy. shoegazey, and I think I also hear a bit of Radiohead in this.
