FUNK/SOUL Accomplished soul singer and keyboardist Nigel Hall releases his debut solo album. Doesn’t have a unique sound yet, but it makes for great background music, and there are a few tracks I can appreciate. No FCC Issues.

1. (3:25) *** Mediocre tambourine and choir soul number
2. (3:47) **** Funky New Mastersounds or Soulive vibe.
3. (5:24) *** Slow. Colorful bass.
4. (3:24) *** Swing-dance. Cliche lyrics.
5. (4:17) **** Another funky Mastersounds-like jam.
6. (5:57) *** Sounds like a G. Love groove.
7. (4:04) *** Bluesy, somber.
8. (3:25) * Upbeat. Painfully uncreative.
9. (4:08) ***** Funky boop-doop bass line and clever horns, RIYL Greyboy Allstars.
10. (4:15) ** Slow and soulful with muted trumps.
