Valley Flutes / As It IS

Split release, with both tracks weighing in at a healthy 45 minutes each. Ambient sounds to put you on a path to well being. Droney, flutey & various other instruments to comfort you after a hard days toil. A release from the Bay Area’s “Constellation Tatsu” label. Play either in their entirety or plenty of opportunities to fade out early. Like: 1) Eno, B. Ashra 2) Andrew Tomasello, Mohammad, Rafael Anton Irisarri

No FCC’s (Instrumentals)

1) Paul Marcano - Valley Flutes (44.29) Deeply relaxing. Echoing flute/recorder make the backbone with added whale-call esque charm. Gongs also play a part, in this meditative opus. Recorded in 1973, it has certainly stood the test of time. Lovely isolated echoing flutes at the 29-minute mark – Like an audio glimpse of a Japanese tea garden. Slightly more upbeat towards the conclusion with a wonderful ghostly presence for the final minute.
2) Andrew Martin - As It IS (44.31) A quiet storm of an opening. Darker & more brooding than the previous track. This has lush, rich textures. Hypnotic, in a shadowy elctronica sense. Wave upon wave of glorious strummed drone. More orchestral towards midway. Beautiful stuff indeed.
