Female fronted indie rock. Field Mouse used to straddle more shoegaze/dream pop territory but this album is a departure to a noisier, more rock turn of things. It features guest turns from Sadie Dupuis (Speedy Ortiz), Allison Crutchfield (Waxahatchee) and Joseph D'Agostino (Cymbals Eat Guitars). Most of the songs sound the same, some form of twee sweet punky emo throbbing indie rock. The second half is darker and less twee, and I think better than the first half.

1. (2:27) ** The Mirror—Uptempo, raucous, Speedy Ortiz.
2. (2:38) ** Half-Life—Calm, glimmering guitars and vocals switch off with noisier sections.
3. (3:43) Accessory—Sweet vox, emo, has its anthemic moments.
4. (2:37) The Order of Things—Twee punky girl band feel.
5. (3:48) *** A Widow with a Terrible Secret—Darker, nice drumming, jammy guitars.
6. (3:30) Beacon—FCC: f***. More of the same.
7. (2:59) ** Over and Out—Midtempo with a rise in the last minute. Vocals and bass driven. The most different track from the rest.
8. (2:24) ** Do You Believe Me Now?—Dreamy, soaring.
9. (3:28) Never Would Have Known—Wistful, emo, uptempo.
10. (3:34) **** Out of Context—Fluttering guitar picking, gleaming, floating. Melancholy. Deep reflective vocals. Gets heavy metal halfway through.
