This is the fourth record from Vancouver rock group Black Mountain. It is super cool. Kind of psychedelic, a little prog rock, and a lot of heavy riffs and infectious melodies. really really awesome record. Favorites: 1, 6, **9** FCC: Track 7, fucking 1. (8:34) Mothers Of The Sun - Heavy guitar riff at the beginning and throughout, slow and simple in the middle, and then builds into a heavy rocker. Male and female vocals. This is such an awesome track. 2. (3:24) Florian Saucer Attack - synthy uptempo power rocker, female vocals, sounds a little pat benatar...another great track. 3. (4:02) Defector - Mid-tempo, slightly psychedelic, another cool track. 4. (5:32) You Can Dream - Sci-fi rock, down-tempo, this one is a little boring. 5. (4:01) Constellations - Mid-tempo, hard rocking, simple chord progressions, very catchy. 6. (3:54) Line Them All Up - One of my favorite, down tempo, acoustic, strings, and beautiful vocals. 7. FCC Fucking (4:10) Cemetery Breeding - This song is so awesome, unfortunately you can't play it. 8. (8:48) (Over And Over) The Chain - Acoustic and droney for the first half of the song then the heavy riffs build in, another really cool song. 9. (4:45) Crucify Me - I love love love this song. Acoustic, beautiful, great melody, builds with harmonies and more percussion toward the end, super cool. 10. (9:04) Space To Bakersfield - This isn't my favorite track, really long and a lot of ambient music, but it is sleepy and kind of cool. | ||
