Second
Genre: Jazz
The future of jazz? Like Hendrix jamming with Weather
Report, but not rock. Quiet, intense, electric, psychedelic
– hard to categorize. I loved it, though. Hodge plays all the
instruments except drums
FCCs: none
If You Like: Jimi Hendrix’ “One Rainy Wish”, Terje Rypdal, Joe Zawinul
Favorite Tracks: Transitions, Song 3, Heart of a Dreamer
Track Review:
1/ midtempo jam, interesting guitar interplay, false ending 2/ slow tempo, droning electronic jam 3/ slow tempo, psychedelic 4/ drum start, slow piano/synth 5/ midtempo guitar/bass duet, sudden end 6/ slow synth drone jam 7/ heavy chords > funky & loud midtempo jam 8/ Heavy beats & synth – more funk 9/ soft guitar opens followed by horns, slow fade 10/ midtempo jam> piano/percussion duet> midtempo jam 11/ synth/ drum machine with drum machine solo to end
12/ slow tempo song with piano and synth
