Andrew Weathers
North Fork of the Jump
Reviewed by BravoMarco
Another mighty release by Oakland based & friend of KZSU – Andrew Weathers. This is a gutsy slice of modern Americana. Banjo & organ working in perfect harmony giving us a warm glow all over.
Like: Andrew Tomasello & Lonesome Shack.
Loving them both. First one just about edges it for me.
No FCC’s (Instrumentals)
1) Valley of the Dry Bones (9.54) Measured, pensive opening that stays the course. Strums along so nicely with that added flavour of background sound.
2) Rainbow Portal (9.56) Softer approach with a gentle beginning leading to a more atmospheric experimental piece. Long fade.
