Later Iggy Pop comes to mind, kinda glammy slick swaggery rock w soulful and funky parts. A certain 70's power pop element too. John Cale, singer based stuff like that. Brian Ferry, Lou Reed, Tav Falco and The Panther Burns cocktail hour shows up later. Excellent. 1) (2:36) driving fuzzy slight gothy sisters of mercy/male gaze vocal style and feel. 2)* (3:48) smarmy slower rock reminds me of iggy pop or Lou reed or something with whistle melodies and female backs, sax, epic 3) (4:13) rockin feel. 4) (4:01) chill 80's new wave tone almost, slick w soulful female counterpoint vocs. 5) (3:08) big doomy feel at first then gets fun-kay 6) (5:24) smarmy, rockin 7) (4:53) epic big hit quality with sexy bongos and funky 9th chords 8)* (3:26) lower fi production, Afro Caribbean feel pours out w bongos and flute, nice. | ||
