Echo-drenched, melodic, shoegazey alternative rock from this Los Angeles trio led by Kamtin Mohager of the Chain Gang of 1974. An always welcome nostalgia trip to the 90s. One of my favorite releases of the past half-decade.
1. (4:06) *** Outside of Love—Pummeling guitars and drums, gazey slowed breakdown midway
2. (4:44) **** Afterglow—Throbbing, propulsive, wall of sound garage rock, great drumming
3. (4:08) **** Slide Away—More somber with some serious riffage
4. (4:07) *** Mirror Talk—Aggressive textured guitars and drowned out vocals, total head-nodding rock
5. (4:37) ** Bloom—Heavily-distorted acoustic guitars, emo vocals, drums and noise build
6. (5:01) **** Summer—Slow-burning shoegaze that swells and releases in the most cathartic way possible
