Stalwart Bay Area psych rock band’s 15th LP. Echoes of the 60s British scene, folk rock, country. Rad sad guitars, horns, vocals that sound like a strung out Morrissey. All tracks relaxed and dreamy for the most part. Others: Wooden Shjips, Spacemen 3, Calexico

1. (2:34) Good Mourning—Slow, sparse, melancholy
2. (3:36) ** Government Beard—Layers of acoustic guitars, uplifting
3. (4:12) *** Don’t Get Lost—Horns and guitars, epic head-nodding countryish rock n roll, feels kind of Neil Young
4. (9:35) Assignment Song—Lush interlocking guitars, contented
5. (3:47) ** Oh Bother—All guitars no vocals, mesmerizing groove, whimsical 60s sound
6. (4:58) *** Third World Pyramid—Fast with woozy vocals, post-punk guitars
7. (3:01) ** Like describing colors to a blind man on acid—Bright chiming guitars, kind of country, reminds me of Calexico
8. (3:42) Lunar Surf Graveyard—Heavily distorted guitar
9. (4:05) *** The Sun Ship—Classic BJM track. Warm, psychedelic
