Garcia, Celebrating The Music Of Jerry (Dear Jerry)

In 2015, 20 years after Jerry's death, surviving members put on 5 large scale shows to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Dead. Prior to those events a tribute concert came together called Dear Jerry. This included Allen Tousaint in one of his final performances, Track 2 Get Out Of My Life Woman. Also good are the Billy and The Kids tracks (D1 9 & 10) these are the jammy-est of the set. I can't strongly recommend many of the others as I saw the original many times and these tributes are not the real thing, however I will implore you to air the Jimmy Cliff selections D1-Tracks 7 & 8 - both are excellent. For those who don't know Garcia played Road Runner, Get Out Of My Life Woman, and Harder They Come solo. The rest of these songs are Grateful Dead standards, except for David Grisman's title, Shady Grove - the Title track of one the many records issued since 1995 to feature Garcia.
