Spooky female choral type music recorded in an historic Norwegian mausoleum. Amalie Bruun, a Danish Black Metal artist, leads a choir of young girls in vocal centered music with only piano and or acoustic guitar accompaniment (if that). Washed in natural stone walled reverb all songs dark/beautiful sung in Danish with a folk medieval near minor keyed Gregorian chant quality. I believe this can be binned as Apocalyptic Folk, music metal heads use for funerals and weddings. Relapse Records. 1) (1:20) vocals only brief. 2) (3:24) with piano, songlike melodic, lead voc centered. 3) (3:21) somber piano appears after choral intro, soaring vocs 4) (2:41) plodding dark 5)* (4:03) gut stringed guitar appears, arpeggios 6)* (1:53) baroque style in guitar comes out now 7) (4:05) piano+guitar, pretty, almost upbeat 8) (2:57) guitar, slow, dark 9)* (3:50) guitar leads the choir, lovely, recorded live as there's a good 30 seconds of applause at end | ||
