An unbelievable fusion of styles and influences, mixing a sound country upbringing with some big city influences. To me, if you put Hank Williams, Elvis, Neil Young, David Bowie and early Beatles in a blender, something like this might come out. Faves:1, 2,4,6,9,11,12

1. med- fusion of country and funk-good beginning, shows uniqueness
2. med- pop influences- early Beatles vibe
3. slow/med- bluesy feel with Elvis sound
4. slow/med- the most (country?) pop on album
5. med- voice is highlighted
6. slow- hear the Neil Young influence
7. med- think Traveling Wilburys
8. slow- ballad- I can imagine my gram belting this out
9. med-nice guitar twang intro, honky tonk style
10. med-country rock- catchy tune, new voice
11. slow- intro is a spoken ballad of bar blues, unique and hilarious
12. slow- influence of Mavis Staples, longing lament
