Bill Steely and Where’s Dave, “This is Love”
Label: Poetman Records
Reviewed by: Kim Walter

Bill Steely is the frontman for the band “Where’s Dave”, although two of the tracks have females on lead vocals. Entertaining lyrics combine with upbeat music from talented musicians. Sounds range from orchestral to pop. Best for me: #2, 6, and 9.

1. slow/med- gentle, meandering tune with violin highlights
2. med- reminds me of early Simon and Garfunkel
3. slow/med- melodic, album namesake
4. med- upbeat, happy tune belies menial job
5. med- traveling tune with Bluegrass accents
6.slow- female voices, nice harmonies
7. slow/med- humorous lyrics
8. med- piano opening, then orchestral sounding
9. med- fun lyrics in a bluesy style
10. med- upbeat rhapsody on grace
11. med- most rocking tune on album, upbeat, pop sound
